Local but Always Home: When “BaBa" is just a word.
Who are you to me?
Who am I to you?
Who are we towards each other?
I want to call you by who you are….
but how can I when what I saw was not. There’s no memories
You have no voice, you have no soul, you have no
love.
I only see face, face so clearly but so blurry.
You have no face.You’re a…
As the Elephant Trumpets
As the Elephant Trumpets.
She makes her way through the dirt of the sahara ‘sea’
imprinting her deep, dense, rigid prints.
She shakes the world, but within
only silence is heard, that
nothing is felt, even to her, it’s unknown,
she stares and continues the dusty path ahead.
-
The cat flees the streets of the ancient,
eyes of rapture, mystery, enchanted by all
queen she is, but to her, cat is the only known trait
she see’s nothing of her surface, her eyes of black and white
eyes-mirrors to her soul-shattered.
she blankly stares and continues on the streets….
-
The power of all, Your Majesty.
All the people love, and treasure.
Perfect one of all, but not all may know it, but
The light that shines on us, is a lie to us all,
only shadows hold truths.
the princess continues to walk brightly only to be followed by her weeping shadow….
even so, she continues down the aisle…
-
The young woman smiles, she giggles, she humors.
She enlightens us all, there for us all. How lucky she is.
but, All she sees’ is a blurred view, a stained glass.
light of this world has never entered, and within is for eternity,
solid, dark.
Will she continue to walk down forever into the unknown?
yes.
Even when there seems to be no gleam of hope,
yes.
Even lifetimes after lifetimes,
yes.
Light will always be possible.
Because even within a dark room, there will always be a small spark
We just need to search for it. Even if it takes lifetimes.
-
Someone enters, with no permission, enters her darkness,
her shadow, and let’s out a flare of light.
and with a single teardrop, she looks at herself.
tears, blurry, but washing away the stains on her eyes,
she stares, this time not ahead, but at her reflection, her face
her eyes.
she cries, and cries, sweeping away all that stained darkness, and finally, I had found
hope.
